FAQ’s

Your most common questions about Studio 45 - answered!

How early should I arrive?

If it’s your first class at Studio 45 please arrive at least 10 minutes prior. Otherwise, please arrive at least 5 minutes prior to your class start time to claim your machine and adjust its settings.

What should I wear or bring?

Wear comfortable clothes you can easily move in, similar to what you would wear to the gym or yoga class. Jewelry is not a good idea as it can get caught on the machine. For both safety and sanitary reasons, grip socks are REQUIRED. These are available for purchase at Studio 45. You may want to bring a small towel and a water bottle. No cell phones during class. Please be respectful of the instructor and other class members.

How do I create an account?

Click on the “Book Classes” button in the upper right hand corner or the “Buy Now” button on the pricing page. Either will take you to Mindbody Online. Click on “Sign up” button and follow the instructions.

Will my spot be given away if I am late?

Yes. In the case that you do not arrive within 5 minutes of the scheduled class time, your space may be given to someone on standby. Classes must be cancelled 12 hours in advance or your class credit will be forfeited. And in the case of all unlimited members a late cancel/no show fee will be charged.

What happens if I miss a class that I booked? Will I be charged?

Yes, even if it’s your first time. We require a 12hr notice before making any kind of changes to your schedule. The same rules apply to any specials not purchased through the studio. Unlimited Members are charged $25 for a late cancel or no show. Package Members will simply forfeit their class, but do not receive any additional no show/late cancellation charges. There are no exceptions, please don’t ask.

Is this Pilates?

Studio 45 is a boutique fitness studio offering a curated collection of workout experiences, each thoughtfully designed with equipment and programming that vary by location. While inspired by the holistic foundations of Pilates, Studio 45’s approach is intentionally different—pairing innovative equipment and intentional class structure with increased intensity and cardiovascular elements beyond traditional Pilates. The result is a workout that combines the benefits of weight training with the therapeutic focus of slow resistance movement. Our locations in Oregon and in the U-District and Fremont in Washington are Lagree® licensed megaformer studios. Studio 45 Kirkland uses XFormer equipment and slow resistance training (“SRT”) methods developed by Studio 45.

What age do you have to be to take a Studio 45 class?

14 years or older. If you are under 18 we require a signature from a parent or guardian.

Are there different class levels?

Our standard class, Full Body, is designed for and welcomes all fitness levels and is challenging from your first visit to your 1,000th visit. Be sure to check the schedule when looking for specialty classes such as abs and arms, obliques and cheeks and more!

How often should I take class?

We recommend taking classes 3-5 times a week to achieve optimal results. The method is designed to work your muscles to the point of fatigue. Your body needs days off rest to properly recover and repair.

Can I take a Studio 45 class if I’m pregnant?

Doctors do not advise starting a new workout while pregnant, especially something as core intensive as Studio 45. If a client was regularly attending Studio 45 before they got pregnant, they can continue to come as long as they are comfortable and with their doctors permission. Remember to return to your regularly scheduled Studio 45 workout as soon as you are cleared for exercise after you have your baby.
